| Examples of WellFlorida's Services and Clients: |
| Health Needs Assessments |
WellFlorida has a long-standing reputation for producing professional and objective needs assessments. Employing a range of tools, WellFlorida's needs assessments are thoroughly researched and reliable. Data in assessments typically includes demographic, socioeconomic and health status information that is used to identify areas where targeted interventions and policy changes may have the greatest impact. Recent assessments have been completed for Alachua, Bradford, Lafayette, Suwannee and Union counties; Ryan White; and statewide-projects for Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury. |
| Technical Data Reports |
Initially created as appendices to health needs assessments, these reports are now available as standalones. WellFlorida gathers, interprets and packages data in comprehensive reports that are easy to use and understand. Data includes population, poverty, business and employees, uninsured, education, mental health, healthcare service facility utilization, birth, mortality and more. Clients use the reports for grant applications, developing new programs and research projects. Recent technical data reports have been created for Citrus, Columbia, Hamilton, Putnam and Union counties. |
| Nonprofit Management |
WellFlorida is a partner to many nonprofits and programs that rely on it for management services such as fiscal administration, quality assurance/improvement, staffing, community outreach, and marketing and communications. Currently, WellFlorida provides nonprofit management services to Rural Health Partnership of North Central Florida, two Healthy Start coalitions, North Central Florida Ryan White CARE Program and the North Central Florida Cancer Control Collaborative. |
| Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) |
WellFlorida specializes in grant applications for FQHCs and FQHC Look-Alikes. Also known as Community Health Centers, FQHCs are local, nonprofit, community-owned healthcare providers that serve primarily low income and medically underserved areas. WellFlorida has worked to establish a number of FQHCs in North Central Florida including Family Health Center of Columbia County, George A. Dame Community Health Center in Citrus County, Heart of Florida Health Center in Marion County and the Nature Coast Community Health Center in Hernando County. |

| Strategic Planning for State-wide Issues |
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI): WellFlorida partnered with the Florida Department of Health, Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program and the Brain Injury Association of Florida to create and implement a comprehensive, consumer-directed strategic plan that addressed the needs of Florida's traumatic brain injury population. In addition to the TBI Strategic Plan 2009-2014, WellFlorida created a needs and resource assessment, a fact sheet with an overview of TBI in Florida, and helped the Brain Injury Association of Florida to plan, brand and promote TBI public awareness events in Tallahassee. |
Spinal Cord Injury (SCI): WellFlorida partnered with the Florida Department of Health, Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program and FAAST Spinal Cord Injury Resource Center to create Florida's first long-term strategic plan. In addition to the SCI Strategic Plan 2010-2015, WellFlorida developed a needs and resource assessment, technical appendix and fact sheet with an overview of SCI in Florida. |
