Physician and Office Staff Trainings

Trainings are free to Rural Health Partnership (RHP) members (membership for a practice with less than 10 employees is only $50 per year!). Non-members can also benefit from the trainings. RHP offers trainings at a reduced rate to non-members ($45/person).

E-Prescribing: Making the Connection
Held January 2009 at the Gainesville Best Western and the Lake City Holiday Inn
We had over 75 total attendees at these two CME-, CNE- and CEU-approved events. Almost 40% of the 24 providers who submitted surveys want to begin e-prescribing by May. RHP partners with ePrescribe Florida this year to provide free technical support to members to help them implement and maintain e-prescribing, and receive yearly Medicare reimbursements for e-prescribing.

According to the National Rural Health Association, Medicare payments to rural hospitals and physicians are dramatically less than those to their urban counterparts for equivalent services. This correlates closely with the fact that more than 470 rural hospitals have closed in the past 25 years. It’s not a stretch to believe that your practice may be not getting appropriate payment for the services it provides; you could be shortchanging yourself. This training is all about billing and coding responsibly.
