Pursuing the Rural Emergency Hospital Designation: Criteria, Assessment, Process

Dear Rural Health Partnership of North Central Florida Member or Interested Party:

You are invited to attend an amazing FREE educational event.  Ken Harman (bio below) of the Rural Health Redesign Center will present “Pursuing the Rural Emergency Hospital Designation: Criteria, Assessment, and Process.”  Ken will provide an overview of this relatively new (adopted 2021 and rules promulgated in 2023) federal hospital designation; the criteria for designation; making the assessment to see if the REH designation is right for your facility; and some general insights on the application and designation process.  The REH designation along with the Critical Access Hospital designation provide potential strategic opportunities for rural hospital facilities in the rapidly evolving rural healthcare landscape.  This is not to be missed if you are a rural hospital facility or engaged in rural healthcare and policy development.
