Adults, age 18 and older, and adults with family members, who have a mental health illness and/or drug or alcohol problem are encouraged to take a brief online survey. Survey results will be used to improve behavioral health services in Hernando County and divert individuals away from the criminal justice system and into treatment. The survey is being conducted by WellFlorida Council for LSF Health Systems. Survey participants can enter to win a $25 gift card. To take the survey, go to http://www.wellflorida.org/surveys/. For more information, contact Lindsey Redding at lredding@www.wellflorida.org or 352-313-6500 x 110. The survey will close April 6.

Funding for this project is provided by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) through the Criminal Justice, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse (CJMHSA) Reinvestment grant program. The primary goal of the CJMHSA planning grant is to assess and plan for the needs of Hernando County adults with mental health, substance abuse, or co-occurring disorders, who are in, or are at risk of entering the criminal justice system.

LSF Health Systems, an arm of Lutheran Services Florida, is the not-for-profit behavioral health Managing Entity contracted by the Florida DCF to serve a 23-county region in Northeast and North Central Florida. LSF Health Systems promotes and supports the development of holistic, innovative and evidence-based programs within a strength-based, recovery-oriented System of Care.
