June 8 Event on HPV Vaccine
Suwannee River Area Health Education Center (SRAHEC) and the North Central Florida Cancer Control Collaborative (NCFCCC) are hosting a joint live event for health professionals, advocates and parents on the benefits of the HPV vaccine and its ability to prevent cancer in both men and women.
Date: Thursday, June 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Target audience: Allied health professionals/students, community health advocates, and parents

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the burden of HPV disease and the importance of vaccination for cancer prevention
2. Explain the rationale for vaccinating youth at ages 11-12
3. Provide useful and compelling information about HPV vaccine to parents to help in making the decision to vaccinate
4. Locate resources relevant to current immunization practice
