GAINESVILLE, Fla. (Oct.12, 2010)—Through the support of the Florida Mental Health Institute, a free phone consultation service—the Child Psychiatry Access Program—is being provided by the University of Florida Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

This helpline serves medical providers who have questions about the care for their pediatric patients with behavioral or psychological illnesses.

Who can call? Family Practitioners, Pediatricians, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, PAs, ARNPs, RNs, or other prescribing physicians.

What are the line’s hours? This service is available Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, excluding 12:30 PM‐ 1:00 PM. The line is not open on approved State and Federal Holidays or when the University of Florida is closed (Dec. 24 – Jan. 1).

How can you participate? To enroll, clinicians must complete a one‐page registration form. To register or obtain more information about this program, contact Kendra Siler‐Marsiglio, Ph.D. at WellFlorida Council. Kendra can be reached at 352-313-6500 ext. 109 or kendrasm@www.wellflorida.org.

Florida Mental Health Institute has commissioned WellFlorida Council to perform outreach to eligible providers.
