The listed facilities include the Alachua County Organization for Rural Needs (ACORN) clinic, which has mental and dental clinics and mental health counseling; the Heart of Florida Health Center; the federal qualified health center in Marion County; and the Healthy Start program, which provides services for at-risk pregnant women, infants and small children.
The directory is available online at the main WellFlorida website, www.WellFlorida.org, or www.NCFNavigators.org for theWellFlorida navigator program that assists people in signing up for health insurance through the ACA.
On the site for the navigator program, click on resources on the top of the home page to get to the directory. On the main WellFlorida site, click on resources and then on special publications.
Because of budget constraints WellFlorida did not print off enough copies of the directories to distribute them. But the navigators who help people sign up for coverage each have a copy and are able to run off copies of the pages listing the safety net clinics that serve the area where a person coming in for assistance lives.
