Quality Assurance & Improvement
Quality Assurance and Improvement is a means of assessing the quality and impact of programs or services on the community, and bettering or enhancing those programs and services. Organizations in North Central Florida, such as the Ryan White CARE Program and two Healthy Start coalitions, have benefited from WellFlorida’s expertise in this area.
Healthy Start Embracing Quality Assurance and Improvement/Continuous Quality Improvement strategies, WellFlorida Council works with Healthy Start of North Central Florida Coalition and Central Healthy Start Coalition to identify positive and negative program processes, services and outcomes.
Ryan White HIV Care Program WellFlorida uses nationally established HIV treatment guidelines, professional standards, data-driven performance measures and user expectations in creating and implementing its HIV quality management program. WellFlorida and North Central Florida Ryan White CARE Program have processes designed to enhance the quality of HIV patient care programs, increase access to appropriate services, and ultimately, improve the quality of health and life for persons infected with HIV. In addition, WellFlorida conducts regional comprehensive HIV needs assessments to identify systemic gaps in care and coordinates the creation of comprehensive area-wide plans to meet goals intended to close those gaps.
