Lunch and Learn about advances in breast cancer

North Central Florida Cancer Control Collaborative (NCFCCC) and Cancer Connections are hosting a Lunch and Learn on Dec. 14, 2016 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Health Street, 2401 SW Archer Road, Gainesville. The topic is Advances in Breast Cancer: A Review and an Update with guest speaker Dr. Karen Daily.

Dr. Daily is a clinically-based investigator and educator at the University of Florida in Gainesville with a focus on breast, gastrointestinal, and gynecologic cancers. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project. Dr. Daily founded the High Risk Program, within UF Health Breast Center, that identifies women at above-average risk of developing breast cancer and offers prevention and early detection strategies. She is dedicated to increasing available clinical trials, both large cooperative group studies and early phase single institution investigations, so that every patient may be offered the opportunity to participate. She is also interested in resolving access to care barriers in disadvantaged populations.

Following the Lunch and Learn, NCFCCC will conduct a meeting from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. New members are welcome!
