WellFlorida News Release

Health Insurance Marketplace Navigators will be available at Lake Butler Hospital to help North Central Floridians enroll in insurance before the Feb. 15 open enrollment deadline. The health insurance enrollment events will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. The hospital is located at 850 East Main Street, Lake Butler.

Navigators are professionals certified to provide free and unbiased information on insurance available through the Marketplace created by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Navigators can answer questions about new coverage options and help consumers enroll in a plan that meets their needs and budget.

After Feb. 15, those wishing to enroll can only do so if they experience a life-changing event, such as having a baby or moving to a new state. Most individuals are required to have health insurance or pay a penalty, which in 2015 will be 2% of household income or $325 per adult and $162.50 per child.

For more information, call 904-796-7096 or visit www.NCFNavigators.org.

WellFlorida oversees the Health Insurance Marketplace Navigator program in North Central Florida and has partnered with organizations throughout 15 counties to provide Navigator services.
