The Florida Rural Health Association (FRHA) is holding its 22nd Annual Rural Health Educational Summit on April 28 and 29 at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront in St. Petersburg, Florida. At the event, individuals and organizations will have the opportunity to join in advocacy for assurance of affordable healthcare for Floridians.

The keynote address will focus on Leadership Equity: The Key to Improving Population Health. Topics will focus on rural impacts from the recent Florida Legislative Session, oral health, and improving population health. Sessions include: Legislators, Working with Rural Health Clinics, Oral Health Panel, Updates from the National Rural Health Association, Medicaid Wrap Around Payments, Integration of Primary Care and Mental Health and How to Access Funding from the FCC.

The FCC will be presenting with the CommunityHealth IT Consortium for the FRHA Summit’s National Programs Track. The presentation will focus on reimbursement and cost savings programs that the FCC offers to help Florida rural healthcare organizations and their communities (e.g., Healthcare Connect Fund Program [HCF]). FRHA and the Florida Hospital Association (FHA) partner with CommunityHealth IT (www.communityhealthit.org) to successfully help rural Florida healthcare organizations both access HCF funds through the CommunityHealth IT Consortium and improve healthcare access, patient safety and care coordination with CommunityHealth IT’s health information technology expertise and solutions.

Registration fees and other information on the summit can be found at stellared.learningexpressce.com.
