Citrus County residents are invited to share their views on health and healthcare in their community by participating in one of four focus groups taking place at Citrus County library locations throughout August. The Citrus County Community Health Advisory Partnership (C-CHAP) is conducting focus groups on the following dates, times and locations:

Coastal Region Library – 8619 W. Crystal St., Crystal River, FL 34428

Lakes Region Library – 1511 Druid Rd., Inverness, FL 34452

Focus group attendees earn $20 by participating. RSVP is required for individuals who wish to participate. Community members may RSVP by calling 352-313-6500 ext. 100 and providing their name, phone number and date of focus group they wish to attend. Please RSVP no later than 24 hours prior to the desired focus group. Valid for Citrus County residents only; only one focus group RSVP per community member.

Residents’ input will be used to assess Citrus County’s most pressing health needs and to develop a community health improvement plan for the county.

A community health improvement plan (or CHIP) is based on the results of the health needs assessment and provides a long-term plan for developing policies and targeting efforts that promote health. Community input is key to prioritizing health issues that impact residents.
