Health Fair coming to Library Partnership
Library Partnership will host its 4th annual Health Fair to empower the community with the knowledge and tools they need to make healthier lifestyle choices.
It will take place from noon-4 p.m. Tuesday at Library Partnership at 1130 NE 16th Ave. It is free and open to the community.
Featured will be free health screenings, including vision and dental, blood pressure checks and cholesterol testing as well as information from representatives from health care organizations and programs related to health, fitness and wellness.
Participating organizations will include the University of Florida Health Shands Rehabilitation Hospital, UF HealthStreet, the Epilepsy Foundation of Gainesville, the city of Gainesville Bicycle/Pedestrian Program, Early Steps, Alachua County Social Services and others. The UF Mobile Outreach Clinic also will be on site.
Additionally, Library Partnership provides ongoing programs and services that address the different aspects of health and wellness, including Zumba classes, the Cooking Matters healthy cooking class, the Health Insurance Marketplace Navigators and more.
