Citrus County residents ages 18 and up are encouraged to participate in a survey regarding healthcare in their county. By taking the survey, participants can also be entered to win a $50 VISA gift card. Take the Citrus County Health Survey.

The North Central Florida Cancer Control Collaborative (NFCCC) will be holding a training aimed at community health workers (CHW). There will be three training topics covering: how to get certified as a CHW in Florida, motivational interviewing techniques and the best practices for community health workers. The training will be held at the Santa Fe College Center for Innovation and Economic Development on July 29 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.

Citrus County residents are invited to share their views on health and healthcare in their community by taking a 10 to 15 minute survey. The Citrus County Community Health Advisory Partnership (C-CHAP) is conducting the survey beginning on July 6, 2015. After several months of uncertainty, the Supreme Court ruling in King v. Burwell came out and Lovler, 27, knew that he would be able to keep the tax credits that made it possible for him to buy health insurance through the Affordable Care Act.
